Our Story

In 2005, Gary and Phyllis Arnold, long time members of Southeast Christian Church, found themselves with a decision to make. Owners of a recently vacated business condo, they began to pray about what God would have them do with this space next. One day, Phyllis was discussing the matter with a friend from Necole's Place, where she regularly volunteered, and her friend suggested opening a dance studio.

Although neither Gary nor Phyllis had ever danced before, they prayed about it and decided that this was the course God had set for them. They began construction, and waited to see what God would do next. As the studio neared completion, they still did not have anyone to teach for them, when they received a call from Bryant Glisson, a local seminary student. Bryant had heard through various channels that they were looking for someone to instruct, and after hearing Gary's vision for the studio, he agreed to come on board.

In May of 2006, I've Got Rhythm initially opened its doors. Ever since it has remained a warm and family friendly dance venue for those who would rather avoid the standard politics of the dance world and who just want to come and enjoy themselves. We invite you and your family to come see for yourself!
