Are you thinking about getting into ballroom dancing, but the thought of having to learn in front of other people scares you to death? Are you one of those people with two left feet and a total mental block to anything that resembles a musical rhythm? Have you been a part some bad group classes in the past that have gotten you off to an uneasy start? If you said yes, then private lessons may be for you.

At I've Got Rhythm, we have a genuine interest in our students' learning, and we want you to approach dancing in a way that is comfortable to you. We always recommend that you begin by becoming a regular attender of weekly parties and by getting invovled in a regular group class if possible. For many this is a good approach, but some for whatever reason, don't do well starting off in group settings. If you are one of those people, then we'd encourage you to give us a call and schedule a private lesson.

Our able instructors will meet you at your particular points of need. If you can't pick out the beat in a piece of music to save your life, we'll teach how to recognize the various structures of music and apply them to your dancing. If you've got two left feet and are so bad at stepping through patterns that you've been thinking about sprouting a third, we'll crawl through the basics until the patterns in your head start to trickle down to your feet. If you can't lead or follow effectively – and few people can in the beginning – and it's frustrating you to the point of quitting, we'll teach you how to communicate with one another, so that ballroom can be a truly enjoyable experience for both you and your partner. If you don't have a partner but want to learn anyway, we'll work with you personally to make sure you learn as quickly as possible!

Others who have already come to the studio and become involved in group activities may also want to look into lessons. If your group class is getting to be a little over your head and your need some extra attention, a private lesson can keep you in the game. If you're hungry for more than your group class can offer, take a private or two and explore some more challenging moves. If you're interested in honing technique or preparing for a competition, private instruction may be the only route to achieving your goals. It all depends on where you are in your dancing and the goals you've set for yourself.

If you'd like to schedule a private lesson, just decide which lesson package you would like to try out and give Bryant a call at (502) 895-1581 to make an appointment. If you have any further questions or concerns after reading the remaining pages in this section, please feel free to give us a call.
